I remember when I first started to go, I didn't like it. Probably because my parents forced me to go. I was 18 at the time.
Fast forward nearly 4 years and at 21, I am now the secretary of the group and manage their Facebook page. I don't mean to brag but it has been an awesome experience.
One day, a week before Valentine's Day, my mom's friend named Abigail contacted me. Once in a while, she along with two other women in our prayer group are in charge of taking of the children who attend with their parents.
At the time, they were organizing a Valentine's Day party and Abigail asked me if I could take pictures of the kids who showed up the Friday before Valentine's.
I felt a little uncomfortable at first because I'm not use to being around kids. Children are just not my thing. Since I have that really bad habit of not saying no, I told her "Sure, I'll do it."
The day came and I was nervous. I didn't know what to expect. I was panicking so much that in my mind I was making backup plans just in case one of these kids decide to beat me up.
In the end all of that worrying was for nothing. The children enjoyed their party and were having fun eating and dancing along with a guy who was dressed up as cupid.
